For immediate release: On Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, the American Society of Papyrologists and the Association internationale de papyrologues issued a joint call to endow the future of digital papyrology.

The target for the campaign is 2.5 million USD, a sum which will be managed under the aegis of the Society for Classical Studies and which will support a full-time position dedicated to coordinating the work of the dozens of institutional partners and hundreds of volunteers who contribute to the corpus currently searchable through papyri.info. A generous donor has anchored the initial phase of the endowment drive by committing $500,000 in the form of a matching grant.
